FHS YOUTH VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The FHS Youth Volleyball Fundamentals camp is geared for Girls and Boys, grades 1st-7th (We have age groups!).  Camp operates JULY 13TH-17TH 9:30am until 3:00pm Monday through Friday.

 

It is our mission to teach fundamentals in order to improve the student athlete's abilities on and off the court.  Our program is not just about exercise for kids, it’s designed to boost children's minds and bodies.  All attendees will receive a T-Shirt, award opportunities, and more!  

 

Student athletes are expected to be on time. Student athletes should wear athletic attire and clean shoes (recommended: extra clothes, towel, etc). Students should bring a Lunch, two (2) snacks, and a water bottle (we have refill stations!). Student Athletes should bring all necessary volleyball equipment (knee pads, braces, etc).

 

Our training program is designed to mimic collegiate style works outs allowing growth and refinement for our student athletes. Our athletes improve noticeably in major categories such as: ball control, speed, agility, conditioning, strength, self-esteem, discipline, and character.  Our program does not simply consist of physical training but we also work in the classroom too.  We offer both physical and mental enrichment.  Like Coach John Wooden said, "Student-Athletes are just that, Students first, then athletes."

9:30 AM Roll Call and Check In
9:40 AM Stretching and Warm Ups
10:15 AM Individual Stations/ Fundamental Skills  (Speed, Agility, Strength, Ball Control)
11:15 AM Break (Refill Water Bottles*)
11:30 AM Camp Competitions
12:30 PM Lunch and Movie / Summer Reading
1:30 PM Stretch and Move
1:45 PM Scrimmage Games
2:50 PM Closing Remarks 
3:00 PM Conclude

*Students should consume water as needed!
